Role Description This is a full-time on-site role located in Sussex, WI. The Product and Sales Manager will be responsible for achieving the top-line sales goals established by the company in the Americas and EMEA regions. This manager will formulate, recommend, and implement procedures, policies, and programs for the Business Development group; and set team & individual KPI goals & milestone objectives, track progress, and manage results. Product Management: Manage and leverage the technical expertise of the Produce Managers/SMEs, to collaboratively achieve the following objectives:
- On-going development of product vision and strategy. Synthesize ideas on strategy, planning, and execution of next generation of products. Build consensus and drive execution.
- Create product strategy, product roadmaps, and specifications of product requirements.
- Establish P&L goals and pricing policies for the assigned regions for each product/product line.
- Maintain product and market knowledge. Analyze and keep abreast of market trends.
- Collaborate with the Development team to ensure products meet/exceed customer expectations.
- Aggressively identify opportunities for improvement and incorporate new product features on an on-going basis. Define market opportunities and develop product briefs.
- Lead cross-functional teams to realize product concepts and bring them to market. Work with customers and internal departments to define and refine product requirements.
- Best practice research and benchmarking. Conduct competitive analysis and develop a strong understanding of stakeholders to drive development decisions.
- Act as a product evangelist and/or coach others to become product evangelists both internally and externally. This will include the creation of marketing content and presenting at industry events.
- Develop and manage relationships with customers.
- Product lifecycle management from concept to phasing out of the product(s) across all products/product lines.
Sales: Facilitate the success of the regional Strategic Account Managers in hitting their sales targets:
- Manage the sales team and channel partners.
- Establish and track KPIs for the sales team to drive sales growth in desired areas.
- Conduct weekly team meetings to confirm progress toward regional goals.
Application Engineering: Lead the application engineering team in their creation of efficient, economic and sound application designs and the creation of technical quotations and proposals which comply with customers' specific requirements, regulatory requirements and Dynamic Ratings' standard design methods. Top Management Role: Lead the business as a member of the top management team:
- Collaborate with the management team to generate business growth plans that can be supported by the business and facilitate the implementation of those plans.
- Prepare sales and marketing budgets and report against those targets on a weekly basis.
Qualifications
- Five-plus years of business-to-business technical product experiences
- Experience with Complex Sales Process - preferably the Miller Heiman process
- Experience in managing sales teams
- Knowledge of power generation, distribution, and transmission systems used in electric utility and large industrial power systems is desired.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred
- Ability to travel - travel is expected to be between 4 - 10 trips per year of 2 to 5 days per trip.
