Airport GIS Intern - IT Hourly Pay Rate: $13.50 - $20.66 Closing Date: June 15, 2025 or sooner upon receiving 50 applications
Job Summary: The primary function of the GIS Intern is to be a technical resource to update and maintain Airport's GIS data. The intern will review CAD drawings and historical paper maps, collect the spatial location of assets in the field with a GPS unit, and update the enterprise GIS data accordingly. The updated data will be used in Cityworks and other applications. They may also be given ad hoc tasks to maintain web maps, map series, and other GIS resources. Essential Responsibilities:

Required Skills and Abilities: Read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Write routine reports, correspondence, and speak effectively before both internal and external groups. Establish, organize, and maintain files; document management; and data base searches. Work effectively and harmoniously with internal and external groups. NOTE: This original application is open to permanent residents of the state of Wisconsin at the time of application. In accordance with Section 11, Rule 3 of the Civil Service Rules a non-competitive examination will be held for this position. The non-competitive examination will consist of criteria deemed appropriate by the Director of Human Resources.
