Purpose:
We are seeking a motivated and curious Data Scientist Intern to join our team and support key data-driven initiatives. You will work closely with data scientists and analysts to extract insights from large datasets, build predictive models, and contribute to the development of data products that drive business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:


  • Assist in cleaning, exploring, and analyzing structured and unstructured datasets.
  • Support the development and evaluation of machine learning models.
  • Create data visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, product, marketing) to solve business problems using data.
  • Document methodologies, findings, and results in a clear and organized manner.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses and contribute to ongoing data science projects.



Preferred Qualifications:


  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math, Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong proficiency in Python or R; experience with libraries like pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, etc.
  • Familiarity with SQL and data querying.
  • Understanding of statistical analysis and machine learning fundamentals.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.



The pay range for this role in Livermore, CA is between $ 30.95 and $ 40.64. The pay range may differ in other locations. FormFactor maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. Benefits offered for this role include medical, dental, vision, EAP, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, flexible spending and savings accounts, 401(k), ESPP and paid time off.
