In the role of Corporate Real Estate-Design Coordinator, we'll count on you to:
- Perform detailing on HDR office tenant improvement projects with guidance from CRE Design Manager and CRE Project Managers. This includes sketch plans, pricing plans and finish plans in accordance with HDR Policy, guidelines and design criteria.
- Write and edit architectural specifications for HDR office spaces.
- Incorporate agreed-upon changes into project documents.
- Support Design Manager by attending site visits for potential HDR offices as needed, evaluating existing conditions to create accurate scope plans, and recommending spaces that will best fit HDR while adhering to budgetary constraints.
- Review and provide comments on architectural documents and construction documents for areas of conflict with pricing plans.
- Review project submittals as it relates to HDR standards and pricing plans.
- Suggest alternate design to meet requirements to remain on budget and schedule.
- Attend weekly construction meetings as needed, based on difficulty of project, landlord experience, and other complexities with a project.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years experience
- Proficient in use of AutoCad and familiarity with related tools and process
- Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desired but not required
- Must have experience in preparation and layout of architectural documents and specifications.
- Must have broad experience working with various landlords on tenant improvement fit-ups for office spaces to specify appropriate build-out documents.
- Personality must allow for project interaction and problem resolution across a broad spectrum of fellow HDR employees, project managers, outside vendors, contractors, etc.
- Willing and able to travel, sometimes on very short notice, to tour offices, conduct intermittent site visits, punch lists, etc.
- Ability to manage a wide variety of fast-paced projects at once, ranging in SF from less than 1000 to 50,000+
- Strong knowledge of codes and good planning skills
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated graphic presentation skills

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or closely related field
- Must possess credentials to obtain future registration
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project)
- Desire to pursue growth opportunities and eventually obtain registration
- Strong leadership, communication and relationship management skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in use of Autodesk Revit and familiarity with related tools and process
- Demonstrated graphic presentation skills
