Job Title: Election Worker / Election Trainer / Election Coordinator

Location: Raleigh, NC 27610

Duration: 03 - 06+ Months Contract

Job Mode: On-Site

Pay rate: $18.00/hour on W2 Without Benefit

Shift hours: 09:00 Am - 05:00 PM (Mon - Fri)

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in training over 2000 Precinct Officials and Early Voting workers for the upcoming elections.
  • Become very familiar with election procedures and laws pertaining to all types of elections in Wake Co.
  • Assist in setting up and breaking down training rooms.
  • Set up and provide technical assistance with microphones, laptops, slideshows, and AV equipment.
  • Type up notes in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and create Excel spreadsheets as needed.
  • Provide Trainer and Official assistance before, during, and after class.
  • Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies.
  • Assist with minor edits to training materials, including PowerPoints.
  • Provide telephone support for election day precincts, advise officials on procedures and troubleshooting.
  • Assist in reconciliation after elections and identify training issues and other issues that need follow-up.
  • Restock training material and pull/pack materials to be mailed to Officials.


Qualifications Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the US.
  • Must be available to work full day and must be able to work up to 50-60 hour work week (including most weekends) during election season.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate well in a tight-knit team environment.
  • Organization and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to perform different tasks throughout the day.
  • Must maintain confidentiality of voter information and sign a confidentiality statement before being hired.
  • Must have strong organizational and time management skills (filing, checklists, timelines).
  • Must have strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Must have the ability to lift 20 pounds.
  • PREFERRED SKILLS
  • Knowledge of Windows 10 OS and Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel)
  • College degree or recent graduate
  • Providing customer service over the phone / call center experience
  • Ability to multitask and work in a face paced environment.
  • *Tests that will give insight to the preferred skills would be helpful such as DE, Word, Excel, etc.
