Job Title: Counterparty Diligence

Corporate Title: Associate

Location: New York, NY

Overview

As an associate in the ABS Covenant Monitoring team, you will partner with front office to identify Affirmative and Financial covenants in legal documents. You will play a pivotal role in capturing and monitoring counterparties' compliance with deal covenants. You will create customized reports by ABS asset class. You will work closely with deal teams, Credit officers, external clients and support functions. This position was created to enhance the Firm's management of Counterparty risks.

What You'll Do

  • In conjunction with the Deal Captains, review the Governing Documents of Warehouse Lending Agreements, and extract the Financial and Affirmative Covenants and document them in the Covenant Management Tool
  • Work with the Covenant Processing team to ensure that the Financial and Affirmative Covenants are accurately booked and being processed in a timely manner
  • Work with Deutsche Bank Tech team to help develop any improvements that can be made to the Covenant Management Tool
  • Create reporting to Management on aging items that may exist and help to resolve them
  • Coordinate with Credit Risk Management to ensure any waivers or breaches are processed and approved in a timely manner
  • Participate in regular meetings regarding covenants and be able to provide data points to Management and Credit Risk Management

Skills You'll Need

  • Proven experience in Finance or Accounting
  • Ability to read and understand complex legal agreements
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration

Skills That Will Help You Excel

  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment with deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and manage several tasks concurrently
  • Knowledge of different kinds of Asset Based financing transactions and performance triggers

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York, NY office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $90K to $139K. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
