As a Commodity Quality Lead within Propulsion Systems, your purpose is to guarantee the deployment of Quality policies and the achievement of product quality targets (product under development in launch or in mass production) to meet and exceed customer expectations.

Commodity Quality Leader job responsibilities will include:



  • Focus on collaborative activities with QPEL during the assembly of vehicles in the plant from X1 phase till ramp up (~ 40 weeks):

    • Integration into the "SOP Securization" vehicle project launching team located in the plant
    • Reinforcement of the QPEL team during the launching phase in the plant (participation at the daily QPEL team meeting)
    • Support the assembly of the vehicle in the plant and participation in daily morning/evening vehicle obeyas (failure analysis)
    • Implementation of palliatives/containment actions (drafting, costing, explanation to TRIGO, control if its proper implementation)
    • Participates with the ENG Core Team concerned in the realization of containment actions and/or final solution proposals to fix the Quality issues
    • PPAP grid management with QPEL team
    • Transfer to serial life: end-of-project A3 to QPEL team


  • To manage and accept the parts at each project step of progress (X phase):

    • Formalizes the quality check list to carry out the part inspection on reception to ensure the compliance of the parts Support plant CQ (Control Quality) to check the compliance of the incoming parts
    • Ensures that the inspection report is complete and that the parts comply with the definition at each step
    • Carry out tests necessary to verify conformity of samples and their use in the process
    • Work with SQD for the process status and proposes the quality product status
    • Draws up the acceptance report and informs the plant IT systems (SIGAPP)
    • Issues a deviation sheet if the acceptance state requires it and manages its processing
    • Carries out containment or palliative action, if necessary, to ensure the quality level of the vehicle mounting
    • Supports analysis of issues detected on captive fleet vehicles


  • To summarize the progress of the analysis and the treatment of the issues (non-conformity of parts, assembly anomalies, definition issues, ...) at each stage of the project:

    • Performs the tests (mountainability, metrology, functional, etc.) necessary to verify the conformity of the parts and their use in the process
    • Participates (under the leadership of the CQM - Core Quality Manager) in the correct maturity of the deliverables for the transfer to serial life of the project
    • Participates in the Quality morning market and manage the analysis of the PRS perimeter failures
    • Participates in the different Quality meetings or workstreams leaded by the "PRS SSTM - PRS Sub System Technical Manager"
    • Reports (reporting) to the "PRS SSTM" and to the "PHES SSTM"
    • Participates in the Lessons Learned with the Design and the Project teams
    • Participates in the transfer of parts from ONL to CPL and with the QPEL team for the mass production launch
    • Participates in the weekly animation of the CQL Core Team
    • Provides summary document at the end of the project for transfer to QCP



Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, or control systems engineering
  • Minimum FIVE (5) years of automotive experience with knowledge of propulsion systems in product development or manufacturing or quality
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of quality tools, methods, processes to drive continuous product improvements in the automotive industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (e.g. Shainin Red X, Lean, DFSS)
  • Ability to work under pressure, stay organized and continuously meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills with professional and positive attitude, ability to lead and work with a global development team. Ability to present to global executive team
  • Strong proficiency using Microsoft office applications
  • Domestic and international travel possible


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Master's degree or higher in quality management or engineering
  • Demonstrated six sigma green and/or black belt certification
  • Demonstrated Shainin Red X Certification
  • Minimum FIVE (5) years automotive experience in Electrified Propulsion
  • Minimum FIVE (5) years design and release experience in electrified propulsion, electromechanical systems, or gear drives
  • Minimum FIVE (5) years of quality management
  • Fluent in English, and Italian, Portuguese, German or French
