Job Overview In this role as the Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for industrializing parts being developed by Getinge Aseptic Solutions (GAS): Aseptic connectors, primary packaging (vials, septum, pouches, bottles) and metal filling needles in metal. This includes involvement in raw material selection and sourcing as well as overseeing technology advancement from concept through production while working with cross functional teams. Specifically, you will oversee mold building, the injection molding process as well as final assembly of all components internally and with suppliers and partners. You will also support the management of Getinge-owned injection mold tools as well as molding suppliers. You will be responsible for working with our suppliers to trouble-shoot resin, molding and tooling issues and resolve them in a manner which supports the product commercialization and go-to-market plan. Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties
Industrialization of New Projects (85%):
- Contribute to design review to ensure manufacturability of the parts.
- Participate in the supplier selection process to identify potential partners based on capabilities and project needs (i.e., prototype tooling and production tooling).
- Analyze quotes for parts and for tools to ensure project scope and budget requirements.
- Evaluate mold designs to ensure the most cost-effective solutions related to production goals,
durability, specifications, commercial delivery and cost are met (i.e., cycle time, change over time, steel quality, etc.)
- Identify spare parts needed for each tool
- During the mold building phase, organize regular supplier update meetings to make ensure molds are delivered on time and within the contracted budget.
- Review and affirm injection molding and assembly processes proposed by the supplier.
- Contribute to project risk assessment to identify quality risks and mitigation plans (i.e., inspection plans, raw material and finished part safety stocks, etc.)
- Lead the validation process with the relevant methodology (IQ, OQ, PQ) with in-person participation in validation rounds and meetings.
- Communicate with key stakeholders (i.e., managers, workers, customers, suppliers, and industry standard groups, etc.) including preparing reports and documenting progress with senior management.
Manage Existing Tool Portfolio (15%):
- Manage and maintain tooling database and proper tooling storage.
- Lead all tooling transfers and revalidations.
- Engineering support to improvements, and modifications of existing products.
- Assists in special projects as needed.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of ten years' direct experience or demonstrated commensurate experience in the field.
- Practical knowledge of mold making (CNC machining, EDM), injection molding process (TPE and silicone, 2K, multi-cavity), and final assembly steps (ultra sonic welding, laser marking, etc.)
- Mold building knowledge including machining tolerances, steels, heat treating, plating, and stack up tolerances.
- General knowledge of applicable ISO and industry guidelines.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good project management skills.
- Experience with process and/or product validation desired.
- Strong computer skills including MS Office applications (Excel/Word) and Microsoft Project.
- Basic knowledge of CAD software.
- Able to travel

Salary: 140K - 160K annually and eligible for 10% STIP #LI-YA2 #LI-Hybrid
