JOB INFORMATION
* Job Title: Manager Communications Mgmt * Grade: Exempt 59 * Job Code: 105285 JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for developing and implementing strategies and programs that build support for the company, its vision, values and strategies among company members and external stakeholders through the management and coordination of the company's internal and external communications, media relations, employee and stakeholder communications, crisis communications, communications counsel. Partners with marketing and community engagement teams to storytell across a variety of communications mediums for external and internal audiences. LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY
* Accountable for departmental performance. Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address business and operational challenges. Decisions guided by policies, procedures and business plan. Generally manages a recognized discipline and specialty with separate budget. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* All other duties as assigned. * Serve as company spokesperson in response to media inquiries as needed. * Lead implementation of company intranet and internal communications channels. * Collaborate with other teams to identify the public voice of the brand * Lead corporate communications team and provide communicaitons counsel to leadership across the organization. * Manage the intermediate and long term planning of external communications to customers, communities, enterprise communications, internal communications to ensure continuity and timely anticipation of developing trends and innovations. * Manage and coordinate the Company's communications activities for all media including broadcast, print and digital. REQUIREMENTS
* Bachelor's Degree And 10 years directly related experience; And * Experience in leading and developing employees; And * Experience with all forms of communications media, including digital, oral and written communications. WORKING CONDITIONS
* May be required to work non-standard work schedules. * May require travel with some overnight stays. * Office environment. SPECIAL SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

* Ablility to communicate effectively with all levels of management (written and verbal) as well as staff members and external agencies. * Highly organized and an accomplished problem solver. * Proficient in Microsoft Office suite * In-depth understanding of Company operations and Company Terms and Conditions of Service. * Demonstration of planning and execution of strategic communication, publications development and social media campaigns. * Strong leadership and team-building skills. * High degree of responsiveness with the ability to shift priorities from multiple initiatives. * Strong organization/multi-tasking skills with the ability to plan/prioritize to ensure efficient and timely deliverables. * Demonstrated ability to strengthen an organization's reputation and messaging in digital media, including online news sites, blogs and social media. * Ability to serve as a spokesperson (in print, broadcast and online) for the company. * Strong client management skills; ability to effectively interface with senior executives. * Very adept at learning "who to ask" and "where to look" for information. * Ability to effectively manage and sustain relationships with the media. * Technical knowledge with aspects of social media, readers, feeders, etc, internet savvy. * Demonstrated track record of establishing productive relationships with editors and reporters in key industry and business media. * Demonstrated ability to work with national, state and/or local media. * Strong editing and proofreading skills including AP style * Ability to write/edit in a variety of writing styles, ability to draft materials on a wide range of topics. * Ability to translate complex technical language and ideas into clear, concise messaging that resonates to a variety of targeted audiences. * Demonstrated excellence in corporate copywriting . * Skill in writing for a variety of audiences. * Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with an aptitude towards client service.
