Storeroom Technician (Salary: $26.64 per hour) Job

Summary:

Performs daily storeroom duties and general site maintenance activities.

Job Duties:

* Perform physical inventory of parts and supplies
* Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts
* Locate and issue parts and supplies to maintenance and production
* Conduct restocking of bins for goods receipt
* Process and file paper work according to documented processes
* Facilitate company strategies for MRO management
* Facilitate daily restock, retrieval, and disbursements of storeroom items
* Facilitate daily dispatch and repair of MRO items
* Performs mowing, spraying for weeds, painting and snow plowing
* Maintain positive communication with customers, suppliers, contractors, and employees
* Perform area housekeeping duties
* Assist qualified mechanics on tasks that need support
* Assist and backup the maintenance planner/scheduler when off site
* Supports BBS process by performing observations
* Supports Loss Control policy, AIMS, ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18001 management systems.
* Must be available to work a flexible 8 hour work schedule based on plant snow plowing and mowing needs.

Qualifiications:

* HS Diploma and minimum 2 years of experience in industry
* Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment, components and nomenclature
* SAP MRP knowledge preferred
* Good communication and customer service skills
* Strong problem solving and organizational skills
* High attention to detail and ability to multi-task
* Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds; both to lift and carry, climb ladders and wear a respirator
