Job Summary

The primary responsibility of this role is to process, organize, & file documentation for exports of animal protein meals sales.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and processes essential shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, commercial Invoices, and country-specific documents required for international shipments
  • Communicates clearly with team members regarding workload, customer requirements, and problems
  • Liaises between data entry and logistics teams to ensure missing information is received and customer's requirements are understood
  • Provides shipment details and documentation to customers when requested updates documentation according to customer's requests with little to no errors generated
  • Responds to internal and external inquiries related to the status of documents, ensuring clear and timely communication
  • Accurately inputs shipping data from commercial invoices, bills of lading, and packing lists into the ACE/ AES system
  • Served as liaison between clients, freight forwarders, Oceans Carriers, and government agencies, including the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)
  • Resolves documentation or filing errors as needed
  • Performs other related tasks assigned to support the efficient operation of the export documentation team
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Highschool diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Outlook
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common business documents in a timely manner
  • Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts like addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division and to do this using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusion, and take resulting action without little to no supervision

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in data management with one year of experience in utilization of business enterprise software and Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to listen and communicate effectively with customers/clients and employees in an effort to carry out responsibilities or respond to common inquiries from customers/clients, trade groups, or member for the business community and public
  • Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts like addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division and to do this using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to interpret graphs and diagram
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
