As the Director of Advisory Services in Internal Controls, SOX, and Risk Advisory at Riveron, you will play a pivotal leadership role, orchestrating the delivery of top-tier advisory services to our clients. This position places you at the forefront of our client engagement teams, where you will leverage your extensive experience and deep understanding of risk advisory, internal controls, and SOX compliance to guide and direct project execution. You will work closely with partners and senior leadership to develop strategies for client service excellence, ensuring that our solutions are not only compliant but also strategically aligned with our clients' business objectives. The role demands a hands-on approach to mentorship and development of our advisory team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth. Your responsibilities will encompass the oversight of project delivery, including the formulation of engagement strategies, directing the assessment and improvement of internal control frameworks, and leading high-impact advisory projects. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic perspective to risk mitigation, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance, acting as a trusted advisor to our clients and a role model to our team.

Who You Are:
  • Possess a Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with CPA, CIA, and/or CISA Certification highly preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in external audit, risk advisory, or a related field, with a proven track record of leadership in these areas.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead complex engagements, providing strategic oversight and ensuring excellence in delivery.
  • Extensive experience in mentoring and developing teams, with a strong commitment to nurturing talent and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of business risks, internal controls over financial reporting, SOX compliance, COSO framework, and the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical and impactful manner.
  • Skilled in navigating and managing client relationships, building trust, and establishing credibility as a strategic advisor.
  • A visionary leader with a passion for driving the growth and development of the advisory practice, contributing to thought leadership, and enhancing methodologies and service offerings.
What You'll Do:
  • Lead and oversee the delivery of advisory services in internal controls, SOX compliance, and risk advisory, ensuring alignment with client objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and execute strategic engagement plans, directing the assessment of internal control environments, and advising on best practices for risk management and compliance.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with clients at the executive level, fostering strong relationships and ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals and deliverables.
  • Drive the growth and development of the advisory practice, identifying opportunities for expansion, and enhancing our methodologies and service offerings to maintain and enhance our market leadership.
The expected pay range for this position is $172,000 - $260,000 (exclusive of bonus, equity, or benefits for which this role may be eligible). This range takes into account a variety of factors that are considered in making individual compensation decisions including but not limited to experience and training; skill sets; licensure and certifications; location and other business and organizational needs; and applicable laws.
