We are seeking a Senior Digital UI/UX Designer to help us fulfill that mission.

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Senior Digital UI/UX Designer to lead the design of intuitive, engaging, and visually compelling digital experiences. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers and marketing professionals, creating innovative web designs that go beyond aesthetics delivering data-informed design solutions that drive engagement, conversion, and a seamless user experience.

The finalist will be hired at the salary and level commensurate with their qualifications. For this position, we anticipate offering a market competitive annual salary in the range of $95,000 - $110,000. ACT manages salaries within the range based on relevant factors including, skills, experience, and internal equity.

Location: This is a remote position (can also be onsite or hybrid if in the Iowa City, Iowa area).

Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for visa sponsorship.

What you will be working on:

    Lead the end-to-end design process from concept to execution for web and mobile applications.
  • Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual designs.
  • Conduct A/B testing and data analysis to inform design decisions.
  • Translate complex business requirements into user-centric design solutions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure consistency and alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Advocate for best practices in accessibility, responsive design, and user-centered design.
  • Effectively communicate data-driven decisions and strategic insights to stakeholders.
  • Continuously analyze user behavior and performance metrics to identify friction points, drop-offs, and areas for improvement.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UI design.

Role Progression:

  • Within 3 months you will have demonstrated knowledge of our established platforms and have general understanding of internal processes and stakeholders.
  • Within 6 months you will have demonstrated use of testing platforms to impact CRO and contribute to redesigns of marketing channels and journeys.
  • Within 12 months you will be Contributing to strategic goals and leading testing programs.

This could be the job for you if you have (minimum requirements):

  • At least 5 years of experience in UI/UX design with a strong portfolio showcasing digital product design.
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and Axure.
  • Strong understanding of HTML/CSS and front-end development principles, Google Analytics, and A/B testing platforms such as Optimizely or VWO.
  • Solid understanding of UX principles, user-centered design, information architecture.
  • Experience interpreting analytics to drive data-informed decisions and conversions.
  • Proven ability to think creatively and develop engaging content that produces results.
  • Ability to articulate design decisions and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication, organization, prioritization and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage change and navigate positively in an environment experiencing change at a fast pace.
  • Skills and knowledge required for success in this position attained through experience, education (Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Design, HCI, Computer/Data Science, or a related field or combination of degree and experience), or a combination of both.

It's a plus if you have:

  • Experience with motion design.
  • Strong understanding of SEO principles.
  • Master's degree in Marketing, Design, HCI, Computer/Data Science or related field.
  • UI/UX Certification.
