With the support of the Bakery Supervisor the Mixer assures that the highest quality of dough mixes is processed to specified standards. Assuring that the scheduled amount of dough is prepared for line processing; monitoring that sufficient ingredients are available for preparing targeted batches.

Responsibilities



  • Prepare and mix ingredients to specified mixing time, temperature and ensure schedule being met.
  • Ensure pre-op inspection is done on the mixer prior to starting
  • Follow mixing procedures according to the formula sheet
  • Continuously monitors and controls dough temperatures throughout the mixing process, including the final mixing stage.
  • Visually and physically verify the texture of the dough to assure targeted texture characteristics.
  • Monitors and manages Sheeting Line efficiency to prevent exceeding dough mix capacity.
  • Follows all SOPs for mixer operation, including the bulk scaling system and mixer spreadsheet data entry.
  • Continuously monitor and manage ingredient inventory.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry for SAP reporting.
  • Incorporate reusable waste dough from the Sheeting Line back into dough mixes, within specified percentages, as permitted.
  • Maintain wash and ingredient prep rooms are organized and clean.
  • Maintain organized and clean coolers, ensuring proper identification of ingredients.
  • Make sure all documents are filled out by the end of each shift and put in their proper location
  • Collaborate closely with the Machine Operator and Lead.
  • Follow all applicable job procedures as outlined in the SOP manual.
  • Adhere to GMPs and Health and Safety rules outlined in the employee handbook.
  • Adhere to and ensure compliance with food safety practices.
  • Reporting any unusual people or behaviors to a supervisor as a part of food security protocols.
  • Through Aspire AOE training understands and uses Centerline and CIL daily management systems
  • Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving process
  • Performs area walk daily to detect issues & defects to help reduce and maintain waste levels
  • Follows standard work procedures and trains others on current best approach to minimize system variation
  • Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by sharing improvement ideas with management and actively engaging in AOE pillar activities.
  • Additional tasks may be assigned as needed.



Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to understand and follow recipe
  • Ability to understand and operate mixing process controls and makes adjustment when necessary.
  • Ability to comprehend scale and temperature readouts
  • Basic knowledge of dough mixing and operating mixing equipment
  • Ability to comprehend scale and temperature readouts
  • Ability to document mixing and ingredients data accurately and timely
  • At least 6 months as a Mixer or related experience
  • Ability to write clearly and legibly and possess basic effective verbal and written skills in English.
  • Oral Communication - Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions; participates in meetings.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have the ability to work with computers and operating screens.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish



Shift:1st shift (6:00am - 2:30pm)
