Job Summary:

The Financial Analyst will be a key member of the Corporate Finance Department responsible for the administrative and analytical needs of the Company. As the Financial Analyst, you will support monthly analysis of financial results to budget and forecast, long range strategy and operational planning to align business operations with the company's mission and goals as well as financial objectives. The Financial Analyst will serve as a key liaison between Region and Market Management Teams and Corporate. The role will work to ensure the markets understand their financial result, and that they have the information they need to impact change. The role will also provide strategic support to management including evaluating potential contracts, preparing financial presentations (internal and external), forecasts and other projects requested by management to allow business owners to make sound decisions.

Duties/Responsibilities:



  • Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, medical claims expense, administrative expenses, and capital expenditures
  • Track expenses and revenues versus budget and reforecast and analyze and report luctuations
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly operations reports and board materials
  • Evaluate profit and cost efficiencies across markets and in various areas of the organization as needed


  • Improve financial status by analyzing results and variances, identifying trends, and recommending actions
  • Increase productivity by developing automated applications, eliminating duplications, and coordinating information requirements


  • Assist with the continued development of budgeting, financial forecasting, and modeling tools
  • Utilize business intelligence tools to create and maintain dashboards and operations reports including KPIs and other leading indicators
  • Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives
  • Support the senior management team and field leadership with in-depth analysis
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested



Required Skills/Abilities:




  • Understanding of a P&L and other financial statement is required
  • Advanced Excel skills required (Pivot tables, lookups, if/then logic, etc)
  • Intermediate Power Point skills required
  • Ability to create and work in complex models with numerous variables/drivers
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, matrix environment



Education and Experience:



  • Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting or other similar field required
  • 1-4 years experience in an FP&A, Operational Analysis or similar role required
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting and planning process required
  • Experience in a healthcare environment is preferred but not required
