Position Summary The Relationship Manager - Energy effectively manages a business loan portfolio and engages internal business partners to identify, solicit and close cross-selling opportunities. Develop and maintain long term business relationships with clients.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Build relationships with clients to be their trusted advisor; establish clients as referral resources by providing extraordinary service.
- Manage loan and deposit relationships by monitoring use of bank products, creditworthiness, repayment activities and changes in the client's company, industry, or business model.
- Analyze clients' needs; assess the client's financial position and credit worthiness to ensure loans meet credit and financial requirements for lending quality and compliance as determined by the Bank.
- Make critical decisions regarding credit risk supported by substantial analysis and critical data-based decision making.
- Negotiate terms, structure loan financing, costs repayment methods, collateral requirements and rates based on risk considerations and present credits for approval.
- Meet or exceed goals related to retaining and broadening existing client relationships through execution of business development strategies and plans.
- Maximize Bank profitability through appropriate pricing of new loan originations, fee income and selling of all bank products and services and referring business accordingly.
- Demonstrate knowledge of all bank products.
- Analyze, synthesize, and communicate complex financial and industry data in an accurate, objective, and straightforward manner.
- Build trusted, collaborative and supporting relationships internal business partners, key resources, and strategic partners.
- Participate in business and community organizations and regularly attend networking events.
- Use and understand technology necessary to collect, retain, analyze, and report critical, requisite information.
- Interact with internal and external clients while providing extraordinary service.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with other employees, clients, and vendors.
- Represent the Bank and Energy Banking team in a highly professional manner.
- Complete job assignments in a professional, timely and efficient manner; organize and prioritize work.
- Maintain confidentiality; adhere to CrossFirst Bank policies and procedures; comply with laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Reliable and predictable onsite attendance.
Education & Experience
Knowledge:
- At least two (2) years of energy banking, underwriting or portfolio management and structuring experience.
- Formal credit training.
- Knowledge of energy and commercial banking products and services including credit analysis, underwriting, and treasury management products and services.
- Demonstrated strong financial acumen and high level of problem-solving skills.
- Effective communicator, results oriented, demonstrates the ability to excel in high-pressure situations.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal skills with the ability to cultivate long term relationships and influence others internally and externally.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in finance, business, energy related studies, economics or equivalent work experience.
- An advanced degree and/or ongoing banking seminars and other resources is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary offered is based on factors, including but not limited to, the job duties, required qualifications and relevant experience, and local market trends. The role may be eligible for bonus or incentives based on company and individual performance.
(Base Pay Range: $124,000-$160,000 annually)
