POSITION SUMMARY

The Operator is responsible for regularly scheduled daily processing and general system operations, monitoring of EFT third-vendor and system activity, assisting other teams with questions or issues, answering data center calls, assisting clients as needed, assisting in media retention and business continuity activities, receiving and processing data from external sources, and other tasks as the position requires.

SHIFT: Wednesday-Sunday 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Gain understanding and mastery of Data Center Operator job responsibilities and of the daily processing cycle.

2. Perform regular daily processing as specified on documented run sheets.

3. Monitor online subsystems and system messages.

4. Assist with clients and other teams with issues or questions.

5. Prepare UPS shipments for credit unions and bill as needed.

6. Confirm EOD/BOD processing schedules and completion for multiple self-processors (inhouse credit unions).

7. Gain an understanding of the automated systems used at our Data Center locations.

8. Maintain an even disposition under stress, make a positive contribution as a member of the Data Center team, and complete all tasks assigned by management to meet team objectives.

9. Be able to work at the Data Center which may require weekends, Holidays, a flexible schedule, and overtime.

10. Support the Data Center Team as needed and communicate clearly and fully with other Data Center Team shifts.

11. Perform additional duties as assigned to support organizational goals and evolving business needs.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

1. High School graduate, GED, or equivalent work experience. Equivalent work experience equal to 1-2 years of prior office experience with a focus in computer operations.

2. Experience with mid-range computer systems or equivalent education (IBM i power systems is preferred).

3. Attention to detail and accuracy, adherence to standard operating procedures and security protocols.

4. Completely reliable attendance and the ability to work overtime and cover other shifts on occasion is required.

5. Familiarity with PC environment and data communications.

6. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

7. Good written and verbal communication skills.

8. Familiarity with Fortra Robot (job automation) applications preferred.

9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

10. Ability to deal with external clients as well as internal staff.

11. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

12. Ability to use discretion when dealing with sensitive or confidential data.

13. Ability to work effectively with other CU*Answers teams.

14. Ability to operate telephone, photocopier, fax machines and PC workstation.

15. Regular and predictable attendance.

16. Embrace and adhere to the company mission and the seven cooperative principles of a cooperative.

17. Ability to travel by auto or plane to multiple locations throughout the United States including but not limited to client sites, other building locations, general errands, etc. This travel could be multiple times per day, once daily, weekly, monthly, or annually.

18. Possess a valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
