Senior Process Engineer (Kennecott Utah Copper LLC, South Magna, UT):

Conduct statistical analysis of plant data to create performance models and make informed business decisions based on the identification and analysis of key information and metrics. Provide technical, data-driven solutions to issues encountered in the smelter related to safety, throughput, and quality. Produce written production reports and technical reports on issues as necessary. Support the operations team in the smelter by identifying and defining operational changes to improve production throughput and product quality. Facilitate rapid problem solving (RPS) and support root cause analysis (RCA) for issues encountered in the smelter and ensure the completion of actions resulting from those activities. Manage projects from definition and planning to implementation. Present technical data to the broader business to gain alignment, clarity, and understanding. Implement and utilize pyrometallurgical simulation software to aid in the control of flash furnaces.

Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Chemical Engineering, Pyro Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience.
Must have 3 years of experience in Statistical Analysis, Data Science, and Technical Report Writing.
Must have 2 years of experience with Coaching and Mentoring, Project Management, and Production Planning.
Must have 1 year of experience with Pyro Metallurgical processing modelling software.
Requires domestic travel up to 5% and international travel up to 5%.
