Join our team as a Senior Production Manager for Injection Molding!
This is an onsite role based in Rosemount, MN.
The Senior Production Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of manufacturing excellence. As a key leader, you'll orchestrate and optimize operations across multiple departments, driving innovation and efficiency to meet our ambitious operating objectives.

You will
  • Develop and execute sound policies, plans, and procedures for manufacturing operations, including cost standards, plant safety, equipment maintenance, and product quality.
  • Supervise operations staff, supervisors, and manufacturing technical leads.
  • Lead the assessment of production capacity requirements and implements staffing adjustments as required. Manage the manufacturing staff through manufacturing supervisors.
  • Monitor workload and backlog; ensure manufacturing resources are applied properly to support delivery priorities. Monitor actual performance against scheduled performance and seeks to overcome any delays.
  • Partner cross functionally to develop and implement manufacturing procedures consistent with company cost and quality goals.
  • Develop and implement quality, safety, and training standards and procedures consistent with company goals. Improving product quality is a key aspect of the position.
  • Coordinate deployment of information technology for manufacturing operations.
  • Lead capital equipment purchases to support planned operations.
  • In partnership with the Logistics, Planning, & Inventory Management, responsible for the planning and control of inventory levels - raw materials, supplies, and tooling.
  • Understand and support cost accounting and job costing activities.
  • Work with other company staff to improve the operating and forecasting tools used for business planning.
  • Establish programs and set goals regarding measurement and improvements of operations for assigned areas. Areas include quality, timelines, and cost.
  • Keep supervisors informed on all significant matters which he/she and members of his/her staff must know to effectively manage their areas of accountability.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
What it takes
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or an engineering discipline, or equivalent
  • 8+ years of relevant manufacturing and/or operations management
  • Significant people management experience
  • Experience as a middle manager or higher
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment
  • Strong written and oral communication skills: able to communicate complex technical information to all levels of the organization, able to clearly present data in written and verbal form
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail and experience with managing project documents and producing quality content.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed with high sense of urgency
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to successfully perform within a project framework including defined deliverables and time frames
Bonus points for
  • Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques
  • A background or working knowledge of machining and/or injection molding
  • Experience working within a Continuous Improvement environment

Physical Demands:
While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit; use a computer keyboard, monitor and mouse, telephone and printer; reach with hands, and arms, talk, see and hear. Work Environment:
Indoors (A/C); nonsmoking; the majority of this job function is performed in a manufacturing area exposed to machinery and noise; with eye protection and safety shoes required. Occasionally works in outside weather conditions. Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
