Organize, perform and lead in assigned department to insure all required processes, procedures, and production requirements are met. Work in harvest, receiving, conditioning, labeling, treating, packaging, or other areas as needed to meet plant needs.

Duties:

  • Adherence to all applicable HSE and other corporate policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Assist in presenting all safety training classes, seeds of safety observations, and forklift observations.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly calibrate and routinely inspected.
  • Supervise employees and third-party personnel as required.
  • Perform other duties as required to meet SSV conditioning department needs.
  • Work in dedicated small seed vegetable (SSV) conditioning and seed health area
  • Provide leadership and overall seed quality expertise to SSV plant activities
  • Responsible for maintaining, documenting, and adherence to established plant operating procedures.
  • All seed picked and transported to specified area is identified accurately and checked against production order. Fill all orders per production order instructions.
  • Ensure all equipment clean-downs and changeovers are done correctly to eliminate any product contamination or seed mixture.
  • Assist with quality samples, officially drawn samples, and quality data collection.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of seed processing experience or High School Diploma or GED.
  • Organize, perform, and lead in assigned department to ensure all required processes, procedures, and production requirements are met.
  • Work in a focused Small Seed Vegetable (SSV) Conditioning and Seed Health area.
  • Knowledge of office functions and processes, including MS Office (Excel, Word).
  • Must be able to be forklift certified.
