Job Description
Summary/objective
Buffalo Rock is an award-winning Pepsi and Keurig Dr Pepper bottler founded in Birmingham, AL more than 123 years ago. Buffalo Rock manages the best alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage portfolio in the country, which includes several beloved global and regional brands. The primary duty of the Franchise General Sales Manager (FGSM) is the overall management of the sales and operations function at the franchise level. This includes supervising their direct staff, responsibility for maximizing profits, sales, and distribution of all Buffalo Rock Company products by following BRC standards, and managing Retail Sales, Marketing, Pricing, CDAs, Training, and Merchandising Standards.

Essential Functions
- Regular and timely attendance is an essential function of this position. Position is required to work all hours necessary to ensure operations function is fulfilled, including nights, weekends, holidays. Travel may be required. May be required to be on-call.
- Managing the sales and operations functions.
- Supervising the sales and operations teams.
- Interviewing, hiring, scheduling, evaluating, coaching, rewarding, and disciplining subordinate employees, and making recommendations with regard to promotions, demotions, and other changes of status.
- Establish and monitor all sales and metric objectives through the efficient operations of our total retail route sales system.
- Establish and monitor marketing goals, programs, and promotions; both short and long term, to ensure share of market, profitability and expansion of company products and/or services.
- Responsible for following SOP on minimum meeting schedule and guidelines (i.e., Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly) as directed by level.
- Must schedule, conduct, facilitate, attend, and/or participate in all meetings as required.
- Responsible for ensuring that RSM/ROM utilize available tools identified for effective operation (i.e., GSM to drive tablet or another comparable resource/tool usage. RSM/ROM should execute batch file updates to tablet each morning.)
- Prepare and present to employee partners all pertinent information on metrics, sales, operations, pricing, promotions, ads, new items, etc.
- Research, analyze, and monitor financial, technological, and demographic factors so that market opportunities may be capitalized on and the effects of competitive activity may be minimized.
- Establish and monitor the organization's advertising and promotional activities including print, electronic, and direct mail outlets.
- Analyze, improve and monitor advertising programs, merchandising policy, products, package mix to ensure the timely adjustment of marketing strategy and plans to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
- Develop and recommend market pricing and CDA programs to achieve the franchise's strategic planning goals.
- Use company guidelines to develop, sell in, communicate and monitor all assigned accounts for CDA contracts and compliance (internally and externally).
- Effectively utilize all marketing programs and equipment budgets to achieve the franchise's strategic planning goals.
- Recommend changes in basic retail structure and organization to ensure the effective fulfillment of objectives assigned to it and provide the flexibility to react to market conditions.
- Ensure communication and cooperation between Retail Sales, Operations, and all support departments.
- Monitor the Retail and Operations Departments to ensure proper customer service based on franchise policy for service frequency.
- Monitor the Retail and Operations Departments to ensure accounts are worked in accordance with BRC standards using all corporate and franchise merchandising standards.
- Participate and contribute to the franchise's "Strategic Planning" process and monitor to ensure all assigned plans are implemented and achieved.
- Develop and maintain positive professional customer relationships. Communicate with key accounts weekly/bi-weekly.
- Communicate all transshipping activity in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Assist in soliciting of new accounts.
- Assist in gaining authorization and full distribution on all current and future products distributed by the Buffalo Rock Company based on the individual customer product authorization.
- Maintain required BRC standards across Retail and Operations Departments.
- Develop, communicate, and coordinate all approved pricing on all Buffalo Rock products. (Internally and externally).
- Coordinate and assist with resets and new store openings.
- Coordinate equipment needs, equipment placements and point-of-purchase.
- Assist with weekly forecasting to achieve company metrics.
- Consistently review all existing policies/procedures to ensure compliance.
- Plan, assign, and direct work.
- Conduct Periodic Employee-Partner Performance Evaluations including IDPs.
- Address complaints and facilitate problem resolution.
- Responsible for leading assigned employee-partners and ensuring that the Team Rock concept is observed, as it is critical to the Retail Department's success.
- Responsible for department payroll, driver's hours of service, DOT certifications, etc. to ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.

Required education and experience
- Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (or management approval); Required.
- Computer Skills: Basic knowledge of Microsoft suite of products including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, ShareFile, OneNote, and OneDrive
- Experience: 3 plus years of providing direct customer service, operational and management experience (or management approval); Required
- Certifications and Licenses: Must have a valid state driver's license, for state of residence, with a good driving record.
