A Day In The Life Under the leadership of the GSFS Sr. Director of Product and Pricing, the Pricing & Underwriting Manager will take the lead in the development and maintenance of product rating for GSFS F&I products. The manager is responsible for developing or producing rating and reporting that is requested by internal GSFS customers. The manager will apply and continually develop their knowledge and expertise of the industry, as well as apply skills in economics, accounting, marketing, legislation, and business practices in the role.
As a Pricing & Underwriting Manager you will:
- Develop and maintain all rating of products for internal/external use
- Develop and maintain processes for rating
- Develop and maintain all vehicle classification maintenance
- Collaborate with GSFS Product Managers and Directors to collect and interpret detailed pricing support for products in the TEC and SecureNet portfolio and offer observations and recommendations
- Preparation of management reports & pricing analysis to Leadership, Product Managers, Finance and other internal GSFS clients
- Assist in Product development
- Provide reporting for various loss information and/or product development
- Provide product rate filing package for state departments of insurance to the Sr. Director for review and approval
- Perform special assignments and ad hoc reporting for department leadership
What We Need From You
- Bachelor's Degree from a 4 year university or combination of education and experience.
- 5-7 years experience in F&I product development and/or product pricing. Preferred
- Ability to apply common sense.
- Proficient using computer software including Excel, Word, Demonstrated problem solving ability.
- Demonstrated strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of insurance underwriting methods and procedures
- Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships
- Ability to apply underwriting methods to create comprehensive reports.
- Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines.
- Comfortable working with large amounts of data and requirements of daily reporting responsibilities

While performing the duties of the job, the associate is required on a daily basis to analyze and interpret data, communicate, and remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the work day and frequently access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices.
