Requirements For more than 35 years, Georgetown University's Center for Intercultural Education and Development (CIED) has been a leader in developing and implementing a diverse array of international programs. We tailor programs to the unique needs of our partners-government agencies, private enterprises, universities, and NGOs worldwide. Our customized academic exchange programs tap the spectacular academic resources of Georgetown University as well as our extensive network of public sector and corporate leaders. With a diverse team of professionals, CIED has the capacity, management expertise, and experience to deliver programs in Washington, D.C., and anywhere in the world. The Georgetown MEPI Assistant Director manages, with the Georgetown MEPI Director, a U.S. State Department leadership and civic engagement project for university students from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA region). In many cases, especially with the substantial communication, protocol, and relationship development in the MENA region, The Assistant Director acts in place of the Director as the main representative of Georgetown University CIED. Work Interactions The role of this position is crucial to the effective functioning of the MEPI Student Leaders Program. It is the nexus of all program communication and provides technical assistance and cultural guidance to partners. Serving in place of the Program Director, they are for managing three partner host universities and several U.S. strategic partnerships; managing the Georgetown University four-week exchange and providing strategic advice to Georgetown faculty and staff to ensure a successful implementation. They also keep the CIED website and promotional materials updated and relevant. It is essential to ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely and professional manner. Knowledge of the Middle East, flexibility, organization and clear communication are tantamount because complexity and attention to detail needed for this position cannot be underestimated. This position reports to the Director of Georgetown SLP Program and supervises the graduate student intern and the Resident Assistants. The position must interact with a range of contacts within Georgetown University and external CIED partners (foreign universities, government agencies, and members of the private sector and civil society). The position also deals with vendors and special events people for the special projects. The position, with the Directors, makes recommendations for planning, management, and evaluation of CIED's administrative systems. Requirements and Qualifications

Pay Range: The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is: $47,586.00 - $87,558.13 Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
