Job # PRP25403 Job Title Financial Analyst Office Location Katy, TX Business Function/Department Power Electronics Systems/Finance Sales Territory, if applicable General Role Description Provide financial and business analysis services to an international manufacturing operation Role Accountabilities - Perform accurate and timely completion of the monthly and annual financial closing processes for the areas assigned - Perform month-end closing of the projects, purchasing, and inventory modules - Perform variance analysis of and account reconciliation for assigned General Ledger (GL), taking corrective action, as necessary, to adjust the GL based on the analysis - Validate the accuracy of project cost accounting and provide analysis on contribution margin (CM) to the assigned business units - Analyze sales and COS elements for projects and request appropriate adjustments from business unit (BU) personnel, if needed - Analyze and ensure accuracy of intercompany sales and contribution margin split among Company entities for multi-entity profitability management - Consolidate monthly results - Ensure accurate and timely closing of projects, project accruals, and unbilled accounts receivable, in coordination with appropriate personnel - Generate data and reports for the monthly management reporting package, as assigned - Perform analysis of and account reconciliation for high volume/value GL accounts - Review project accruals and request appropriate adjustments from BU personnel - Review warranty and concession reserves/costs as assigned and report major variances to the immediate manager - Assign project labor rates General Employee Accountabilities - Bring full effort to bear on tasks assigned by manager - Give manager best advice - Give earliest notice when work cannot be delivered as specified - Cooperate and collaborate with peers and interact cross-organizationally as specified by manager - Exemplify Company Core Values: Integrity, Client Focus, Team Orientation, and Personal Commitment - Comply with all Company policies, practices, and procedures and all regulations and laws - Recommend viable improvements proactively - Ensure effective utilization of business tools and processes Minimum Qualifications - BS in Accounting or Finance or equivalent via education and/or work experience - 3 years' financial analysis experience - 4 years' total experience of accounting or finance professional level work - Proficiency in financial module of ERP system - Demonstrated analytical and creative problem-solving skills - Demonstrated continuous improvement in areas of responsibility - Demonstrated successful working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other internal and external contacts - Demonstrated successful and positive personal leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and communication skills - Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook - Availability to travel domestically less than 5% Preferred Qualifications - Demonstrated ability to analyze and project impact of multi-currency, multi-entity transactions on projects and GL accounts - Demonstrated knowledge of applicable legislation and regulatory guidelines and their impact on business processes - Demonstrated knowledge of financial aspects of foreign affiliates and related accounting processes - Proficiency in financial module of Oracle ERP system - Experience in a business which measures results principally by project and by levels of overall support costs Link to TMEIC Corporation Americas website: https://www.tmeic.com/.
