Senior Section Manager Maintenance (Bowling Green, KY). Responsibilities include: Maintenance of the equipment as well as maintenance of the entire facility. Manage the execution of preventive and corrective maintenance activities conducted by internal and external resources. Develop and maintain a strong relationship with the production team at all levels for optimal understanding of both floor side and plant issues. Provide leadership to teams ensuring employees performing maintenance activities are trained and qualified to perform them. Ensure that appropriate optimum technology, equipment, and methodology are employed. Oversee the effective implementation of maintenance and preventative maintenance programs and schedules. Continuously seek out and identify opportunities for improvement in costs, quality, customer service, health and safety and plant operations. Ensure that all relevant activities are conducted in compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements and good business standards. Ensure all machinery and automated Equipment Comply with safety rules and policies as established by the Company and OHSA. Monitor expenditures versus plan and manage accordingly. Establish appropriate, timely reporting system setting out progress against objectives, with follow-up action steps where necessary. Oversee the maintenance of the computerized maintenance management system for tracking work orders, spare parts, and maintenance history of plant equipment. Oversee the preventative maintenance schedule for all assets. Manage inventory of required parts and liaison with the purchaser to ensure the appropriate levels are maintained. Recruit, mentor, develop, and manage all other aspects of employment activity of new and existing maintenance employees including consultation with Human Resources and/or Department / Division liaisons when required. Ensure the proper training is completed prior to the assignment of any tasks. Ensure adherence to all Company policies including, but not limited to the following: Health and Safety, Environmental, Quality, Human Resources policies, and the Employee Handbook. 15-20 % domestic travel. Three years of university-level study in the field of Mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology. 48 months of experience as Operations Manager/ Scientific Technologist, or a similar managerial position. 48 months of experience in: Scheduling prototype runs; troubleshooting SPM and Precision Sand development processes; troubleshooting any mechanical or electrical problems during development and production; setting up machine interfaces using Devicenet, Ethernet, Profibus and DH485 networks; programming and troubleshooting material handling Fanuc robots for development needs; programming and troubleshooting Allen-Bradley PLC processors such as Controllogix, SLC 5/04, 5/05, Micrologix, and Flexlogix; and maintaining machinery and scheduling preventative maintenance. 40 hrs/wk. 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
