Overview

William Charles Electric, a MasTec Company, is hiring a Field Administrator in our Rockford, IL office.

The Field Administrator performs essential office functions in an office-based capacity. This person serves as a link between project leadership, craft personnel, customers, labor unions and corporate payroll.

Responsibilities

    Supports field and office leadership
  • Supports field employees by answering questions and fulfilling requests
  • Obtains and oversees a database of apprentice certifications
  • Obtains signatures from employees on payroll deductions and maintains files
  • Point of contact for local labor unions and customers
  • Submits fringe benefit sheet for labor unions to customers
  • Maintains 100% compliance with customer requests which includes LCP tracker, Certified Payroll submissions, and
    compliance follow up as necessary
  • Verifies subcontractor compliance with weekly certified payroll submissions and prevailing wage requirements
  • Backup to review payroll timesheets for accuracy during the weekly pay process
  • Backup to collect onboarding documents from new hires
  • Must be able to visit job site locations to meet with teams up to 15% of time
  • Attends weekly meetings


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in the Construction industry preferred

Knowldege/Skills/Abilities

  • Strong background in the utilization of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
  • Basic knowledge of office operations in a construction field environment
  • Demonstrate the ability to work with craft employees, other personnel, and customers
  • Capacity to work with other departments within the organization to reach consensus and solve problems
  • Self-motivating and capable of taking initiative to obtain improvements in the accounts payable and cash disbursement process
  • Intermediate skills of accounting systems and Excel spreadsheets
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Other duties may be assigned
