CTS - Aviation Dimensional Inspection Technician

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

To conduct packaging, preserving, and inspection of aircraft engine parts and assemblies to determine condition as outlined in the Overhaul or Maintenance Manuals.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Be able to read, write and understand the English language
• Examine visually and dimensionally using micrometer to detect for physical defects in accordance with applicable manual specifications.
• Demonstrate a cooperative relationship to interface between lead inspectors.
• Capability of making a decision from general knowledge and training.
• Performs other tasks, as required.
• Maintain/demonstrates proper use and care of assigned tools and equipment.
• Performs whatever documentation is required, per work scope specification.
• Familiar with inspection tools/gauges/micrometers as well as geometric tolerance

• Working knowledge and/or skill in word processing, spread sheets and other computer applications including Outlook.
• Ability to adhere to workplace rules
• US Citizenship

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or equivalent

WORK ENVIROMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Shop Floor environment / shared workbench or workstation

Ability to perform repetitive motion (rotating wrists, keyboarding, using small tools)

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Ability to tolerate constant noise (machine motors - large fans)

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand or sit for long periods of time

The employee is occasionally required to walk, reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
