As a Production Planner, you will be responsible for confirming the availability of material and equipment, in addition to supporting the production and the customer service teams. You will report to the Production Planning Manager and be part of the Production Planning team. In this role, you will be based in Kansas City, Missouri.

A day in the life of a Production Planner can look like

  • Balancing workload across all branches.
  • Monitoring the purchase orders of vendors for accuracy, ship dates, and potential changes.
  • Addressing order issues and assisting in ordering.
  • Moving orders as needed.
  • Assisting customer service representatives and/or salesmen to facilitate rush needs.
  • Providing remote support for one to two person branches.
  • Providing order status to internal team and customers.
  • Assisting customer service representatives when complex orders or questions arise.

We are looking for you to have

  • A Bachelor's degree OR at least two (2) years of relevant experience.
  • Previous industrial or production scheduling experience.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Strong math skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • The ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
