Job Summary Under the direction of the Purchasing Manager, implement long-term sourcing strategies, selecting, developing, and managing suppliers and interacting effectively with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Sales, and Marketing. To assure the best total value for purchased goods and services from suppliers. To align with strategic commodity supply lines to achieve product cost targets, continuation of supply, capacity flexibility, and supporting all corporate policies, procedures. Essential Functions:
- Develop and execute Commodity Strategies and Supplier Relationship Management models for Raw Materials (Resin - PP, PE, PS, ABS, TPE, Chemical Additives, Colorants) and Plastic Components (Injection Molding, Plastic & Foam Extrusions).
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of best sourcing management techniques, practices, and strategies, including supply market analysis, supplier relationship development, optimizing total cost and total value of the assigned products and services.
- Responsible for assessments of assigned suppliers, including Supplier development, supporting Supplier audits, and monitoring supplier certifications
- Proactively manage the supplier base, ensuring supply with no adverse impact on the business. Analyze, identify, and understand supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate
- Maintain material planning parameters for raw materials and stock components (safety stock, lead time days, order points) such that inventory availability levels and working capital objectives are in line with company expectations.
- Analyze MRP buy recommendations to determine order quantities, prioritize, and delivery timing requirements to meet customer and manufacturing demand.
- Ensure P.O.s are issued to suppliers and designated HellermannTyton global branches.
- Manage past due, requests for expedites, exceptions, substitutions, allocation orders, and/or special problems - identify and resolve with a sense of urgency.
- Continuously ensure that product quality and services from suppliers are in accordance with HellermannTyton's IATF16949/ISO9001 Quality and ISO14001 EMS certifications.

Qualifications (skills, knowledge, experience)
- Bachelor's degree - Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field. Or an Associate's Degree in an applicable field with 4-6 years related experience.
- Minimum 3 years of Global Sourcing Category/Commodity Management experience
- Working knowledge of ERP Systems - Oracle / JDE preferred
- Must possess interpersonal and organizational skills, be a self-starter, be detail-oriented, and have the ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written)
- Individual must possess strong, comprehensive computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Suite, BI Reporting)
- Experience within a manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience with IATF16949/ISO9001, ISO 14000,and TQM systems is preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft products and ERP systems required.
