Maintenance Technician - Conroe, TX

We have an opportunity for a Maintenance Technician to join our Conroe, TX team. You will install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, pipes and electrical systems at site. You will:
- Troubleshoot and repair, production assembly machinery and equipment.
- Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
- Discusses machine operation variations with operators, supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
- Troubleshoot and install electrical equipment, 4-20ma, 24vac, 90vdc, single and 3 phase up to 480v, VFD, PLC, Servo Drive, Encoder, Proximity Switch, laser sensors.
- Maintains TPM program from factory equipment.
- Troubleshoots or repairs automated machinery and equipment such as robots or PLC's
- Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
- Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
- Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
- Makes emergency repairs when necessary to limit excessive downtime and production delays.
- Use precision measuring tools.
- Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures, and tools. Operates cutting torch, welding equipment to cut and fabricate items.
- Coordinates material requisitions needed for each project.
- Follows all 5S practices and supports lean activities, as well as safety regulations policies and procedures.
- Works to reduce equipment down time.
- Performs other maintenance work as needed or dictated by the facilities manager.
Key Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
3-7 years diagnosing and repairing mechanical equipment. Ability to read and write needed to comply with written instructions and complete departmental paperwork. Experienced with MS Word, Excel, & Outlook
- 1st shift hours Monday through Thursday from 5am - 3:30pm
- Must be open to working overtime if needed on Friday
The hourly pay for this role is: $30.00. Opportunity for a rate increase after you are proficient in certain skills and have fulfilled training. Actual pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, and experience.
