OVERVIEW The Platform Lead provides leadership for the Operations team and directly manages the Production Supervisors. They collaborate with and provide direction for the full team, including the Manufacturing Process and Packaging Engineers, Quality Engineers, Maintenance Supervisors, and Maintenance Planners to deliver platform results. They drive sustainable performance improvement through people and process, creating an environment where learning is meaningful for the business and the employees (connected to results, driving out losses, helping build the employee's capability). The Platform Lead sets and executes the operational plan. The performance metrics include ownership of Human Safety, Food Safety, Quality, System Utilization, Waste Reduction and Cost Savings, Engagement, Retention, and Schedule Attainment. - Owns Human and Food safety for the line/system and action plans for improvement
- Cultivate Human safety culture that reduces risk to our people by increasing capability to identify and control critical risk
- Cultivate Food safety culture that is committed to manufacturing safe food that is compliant with policy and regulatory requirements.
People Leadership
- Provide clear individual priorities and team goals to deliver platform priorities.
- Drive sustainable performance improvement through coaching, development, and capability building of the platform team.
- Cultivate a positive and supportive team environment to foster employee engagement and retention, including dedicated "floor time" with the team.
- Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing development and demonstrate a willingness to receive and action feedback for performance improvement.
Process Leadership and Ownership
- Accountable for the results and overall process health of Platform System Utilization to meet business needs.
- Accountable for the execution of the DDS process and driving results and overall process health.
- Utilize, teach and coach standardization methods across equipment and processes.
- Drive and contribute to the site's HMM targets.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 4 years of manufacturing experience
- High School Diploma
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, Strong Microsoft Office skills (excel, word, PPT, one note, outlook)
- Demonstrated capability in application of Foundational Systems and Driving SU.
- Display a high level of integrity, able to learn quickly, with passion to build capability in others
- Demonstrate ownership and accountability for results.
- High attention to detail and able to manage multiple priorities/workstreams.
- Servant and Engaging Leader who deeply cares about success of the business and the people.
- Strong leadership skills including the ability to effectively lead change.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in Process Lead, Maintenance Lead, and/or Team leader role or other line team positions leading/coaching

The salary range for this position is $79500.00 - $119400.00 / Annually. At General Mills we strive for each employee's pay at any point in their career to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
