The National Medical Training Manager for the Medical Field Team is primarily responsible for the successful delivery, execution, and management of all the Client's training-related needs. The Training Manager is expected to comprehend and communicate the medical, disease state, marketplace, and product-specific materials and must possess effective facilitation and communication skills.

Please note: This position is a 6-month contract.

Responsibilities

Facilitation & Presentation Skills

  • For each learning session, creates a training agenda that supports the identified learning objectives
  • Manages the live and virtual classroom environments in a manner that allows participants to achieve the learning objectives
  • Engages in effective workshop delivery utilizing high-impact learning activities that adhere to adult learning principles
  • Provides Train-the-Leader/Trainer workshops, as appropriate

Coaching and Developing Others

  • Coaches learners during training classes
  • Evaluates the competency levels of training class participants and provides timely evaluations and feedback
  • Completes field rides upon request from leadership
  • Provides effective remote coaching to field-based teams
  • Engages in mentoring opportunities with personnel

Content & Logistics

  • Supports field Medical and Medical leadership by leading efforts around disease state/product/skill development for curriculum sustainment, launch, national meetings, POA meetings, manager meetings, and other training initiatives
  • Manages the Medical, Legal, Regulatory Review process for training assets, if applicable
  • Coordinates across departments (Operations, Compliance, etc.), identifying all new-to-team and ongoing training requirements, ensuring all requirements are communicated, tracked and completed
  • Assists in curriculum development, as appropriate
  • May be responsible for vendor management, i.e. overseeing content development and ensuring content and timelines meet the identified needs, etc.

Client Focused

  • Oversees the implementation and delivery of all live and virtual training programs, including new hire/backfill training, advanced training, NMs, POAs, etc.
  • Creates and maintains a workable training plan that includes the goals, strategies, and tactics to be implemented to achieve the desired business results
  • Conducts ongoing training needs analyses and, in alignment with sales leadership, modifies the training plan accordingly

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; Clinical degree preferred (Ex: Nurse, Pharmacist or Pharm D)
  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience
  • Training experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry (field medical training experience required)
  • Knowledge of Cardiovascular, Oncology disease areas preferred
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, training design concepts, and platforms
  • Exceptional ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at different levels of the organization
  • Ability to work in an unstructured environment
  • Obtains strategic insight to appropriately dedicate time to important initiatives
  • Exceptional oral presentation skills
  • Excellent learning, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to self-motivate and perform effectively with minimal supervision
  • Expertise with technology platforms (iPAD) and programs (e.g., CRM, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel) is required

The anticipated hourly rate for this position is $66.92 to $76.92 /hr. and will vary based on relevant experience.
