The HR Service Specialist II at VCU Health System provides exceptional customer service and support to team members. This role requires a working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines and an in-depth understanding of the employee life cycle. The HR Specialist II is focused on facilitating precise and timely processing of HR cases received which include a broad spectrum of personnel functions, including managing employee data updates, administering benefits, adjusting compensation, handling organizational changes, and overseeing other essential HR tasks. The role is responsible for resolving policy-related inquiries, ensure procedural adherence, and direct complex issues to the appropriate channels.
The HR Specialist II also may provide support backup for HR Service Specialists during periods of high call demand or staffing requirements. Essential Job Statements

Employment Qualifications Required Education: High School Diploma/GED Combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Preferred Education: Licensing/ Certification Licensure/Certification Required: N/A Licensure/Certification Preferred: Minimum Qualifications Years and Type of Required Experience: 2 years of related experience Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: High attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Proficiency in HRIS and other relevant software. Problem solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
