Multi-Discipline Engineer III /Principal Systems Engineer "W-TRS" Orlando, Florida

Onsite Role

V2X is seeking a Multi-Discipline Engineer / Principal Systems Engineer to join our Engineering team in Orlando, FL. This role will help drive engagement with the DoD to provide effective solutions to meet their needs of Warfighter Training Readiness Solutions (W-TRS) program, U.S. Army PEO STRI. This role will support the Chief Engineer and TADDS Lead in providing technical leadership and solutions for program needs and customer challenges. This role may be called upon to represent either the Chief Engineer or Training Aids, Devices, Simulators and Simulations (TADSS) Lead as well as program level issues with the customer as well as internal V2X senior leadership.

Required Skills:



  • Experience providing leadership, technical direction, and guidance to multi-discipline teams.
  • Ability to lead a program through all phases of system product development including: program pursuit and capture, requirements capture and analysis, system architecture design, requirements allocation and traceability, system / subsystem integration, system verification, system validation, and life-cycle product support.
  • Experience working the front end of the business, creating/reviewing RFPs, SOWs, BOEs, technical volumes, proposals, cost, and schedule estimates.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to effectively communicate to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to take ownership of the engineering scope within the program and drive the necessary tasks to ultimately ensure the cross-function team meets the program requirements.
  • In-depth understanding of the System Engineering Lifecycle and processes.
  • Experience mentoring engineers of all grade levels.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain an Active DoD Secret Clearance



Desired Skills:



  • Experience with Training Aids, Devices, Simulators and Simulations (TADSS) from design through retirement
  • Experience working with government customers Specifically US Army PEO STRI on Army TADSS devices
  • Project management experience including cost, schedule, and supplier management.
  • Experience supporting Government integration and platform test events.
  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering methods, tools, and languages.
  • Experience with Agile software development including previous roles as a Product Owner and/or Scrum Master.
  • Current Active DoD Secret or higher Clearance



Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related STEM discipline plus:

At least ten (10) years of related engineering experience in systems, software, or hardware engineering
