V2X is growing! V2X is looking for a Logistics Manager III to join our team!

Position Scope and Charter:

We are seeking candidates for the position of Supervisor, Logistics at the Indianapolis site. The individual will oversee our Stores and Requisitioning Team. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate efficient material movement and delivery to ensure contractual due dates are met while maintaining compliance.

Essential Tasks:

The following is a sample of the various tasking required of the Supervisor, Logistics. The omission of specific responsibilities does not exclude them from the position if the tasking is comparable or logically associated to the position.



  • Manages a team of 15+ individuals for 1st and 2nd shift.
  • Plans, schedules, and manages the efficient movement of material in and out of a storeroom environment.
  • Instill a culture of safety and quality.
  • Manage work to ensure critical needs are accomplished in a manner consistent with organizational and FAR requirements.
  • Perform supervisory functions such as scheduling and prioritizing work assignments, conduct performance appraisals, take disciplinary action, and make promotion recommendations.
  • Perform interviews and make staffing decisions.
  • Share key organizational communications with teams and ensure appropriate actions are completed.
  • Work and Implement action plans related to continuous improvement.
  • Maintain the data necessary for compliance with the various facility certifications.
  • Perform related work as required.
  • Creation of KPI metrics for area.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis for Corrective actions on safety and quality.
  • Manage plant stock budget of 85k and approved inventory listing with manufacturing.
  • Conduct inventory control assessments and cross collaboration with Property
  • Maintain EWM data for warehouse data integrity and overall health.
  • Understanding of repair cycle and depot processes to support requisitioning team.


Minimum Educational / Work Experience Requirements:



  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 3 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 1 year experience, or an equivalent amount of experience in lieu of a degree.


Preferred Experience:



  • Contract review and understanding.
  • Government Property & FAR regulations.
  • Experience working in a Union/Non-union mixed environment.
  • Root Cause Analysis
  • Inventory Control


Computer Skills:



  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with a particular emphasis on Excel.
  • Proficient with SAP or similar Enterprise Resource Planning software.


Communication Skills:



  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
  • Ability to communicate technical concerns in a manor the audience can understand.
  • Strong people skills with the ability to handle difficult discussions.
  • Lead meetings with a variety of participants.


Security Requirements:



  • The candidate must meet the requirements necessary to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.
