Argo'sSpecialty Programsteam is seeking a curious, analytical, and driven team member to join us as a (Strategic) Operations Associate. This role is ideal for someone early in their career - whether a recent graduate or someone with 1-2 years of experience - who thrives in environments where initiative, problem-solving, and communication are key.

The work is dynamic and fast-paced. You'll spend your time investigating data and process issues, building tools in Excel and SQL, and working across departments to help our programs run more effectively. If you're excited by the idea of solving puzzles, learning quickly, and building something better than how you found it - this could be a great fit.

What You'll Do:

  • Troubleshoot operational and data issues across Workers' Comp and Commercial Programs
  • Create and execute operational processes/workflows
  • Use Excel and SQL to build reports, validate data, and support internal tracking
  • Manage team projects related to systems improvements, reporting, and workflow optimization
  • Participate in meetings with internal stakeholders and external partners, documenting next steps and tracking progress
  • Coordinate small-scale compliance, audit, and reconciliation tasks
  • Contribute to process documentation and user guides
  • Conduct self-directed research for new internal and external initiatives

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (required)
  • Internship or 1-2 years of professional work experience preferred (not required)
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, lookups); basic to intermediate SQL familiarity
  • Strong organizational and time management skills - able to manage multiple streams of work independently
  • Clear, professional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Intellectual curiosity and a self-starter mindset - you take ownership and ask smart questions
  • Willingness to dig into unfamiliar topics and figure them out through research or collaboration

Other Requirements:

  • Must be able to work in office, 5 days per week, in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX; Chicago, IL; or New York, NY
  • Light travel (approximately 1-2 trips per quarter) may be required for client or internal meetings
