Reporting to the Regional Vice President of Sales, the Regional Sales Director will be responsible for identifying and growing new business for the Restaurant Associates (RA) corporate services & specialty (Restaurant Associates Family of companies) portfolio across New England, Chicago and the Midwest regions. The RSD is responsible for directing sales activities in the specialty restaurant, cultural/event centers and corporate dining.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive new business revenue while ensuring strong profitability
  • Identify key targets in the corporate services & cultural center environments and develop/execute a pursuit strategy that results in new business
  • Develop winning sales proposals and respond to complex RFP's
  • Build rapport and key relationships over the long-term selling cycle at multiple levels within the client organization
  • Identify necessary support resources to successfully close new business
  • Partner with operating colleagues across R/A's family of companies to develop winning solution and pricing strategies
  • Communicate effectively across the organization both horizontally and vertically
  • Execution of the Compass Sales Process
  • Consistently exceed sales quota
  • Successful candidate will be based in a major U.S. city with preference in Boston, D.C or Atlanta

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years' experience in new business development; previous food and beverage/catering experience preferred w/experience selling at a VP/Exec level
  • A track record of consistently exceeding sales quotas and targets over time
  • Experience developing winning sales proposals and responding to complex RFP's
  • Strong computer skills and ability to work with CRM database management system
  • Ability to represent the organization at a variety of industry and non-industry events.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and establish priorities; strong time management skills
  • High energy, positive attitude and excellent communication/presentation skills
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout assigned territory and occasionally outside of territory
  • Team Player who wants to be part of and contribute to the success of a top-caliber sales organization
  • Interested candidates should have a BA or equivalent experience
