We are looking for an Advocacy Coordinator, who is intellectually curious, self-driven, and adaptable to join us in U.S. Corporate Affairs, Patient Value Operations team, based in our Washington DC office in the United States. This hybrid position requires a minimum of 40% on site presence with a 10% domestic travel requirement.
About the role
The U.S. Patient Advocacy team plays an important role in fulfilling UCB's purpose, partnering with patient communities to address unmet needs, enabling more people to lead the best lives they can, as free as possible from the challenges and uncertainty of disease.
Who you'll work with
You will be a high impact member of the U.S. Patient Advocacy team, managing a range of projects, relationships, and processes for patient-focused initiatives across neurology, immunology, and rare disease. The position will also be responsible for the certain operations for the UCB U.S. Corporate Affairs team, including the Washington DC office, where the position will be based.
What you'll do
- Manage projects to advance UCB's work with patient advocacy organizations, including planning, communications, event operations, compliance review, and reporting
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with patient advocacy leaders, ensuring good communication and strong collaboration
- Represent UCB at public events, conveying UCB commitment to patients
- Collaborate with Advocacy team members to shape advocacy strategies and generate ideas for ways to address patient unmet needs
- Manage Advocacy team planning and reporting processes
- Manage business processes related to patient advocacy and other corporate affairs initiatives, engaging effectively with partners across the company to ensure proper procedures related to sponsorships, activity notification forms, vendor purchase orders, payments, travel arrangements, and reconciliations
- Manage the Washington, DC office, coordinating with building management, company leaders, team members, and vendors to ensure effective operations

Minimum Education, Qualifications, Skills
- Bachelor's degree
- 2+ years of experience in administration, project management, funding/finance, or related field
- 2+ years of Microsoft Suite experience, including experience with Excel, Teams, and Outlook
Preferred Education, Qualifications, Skills
- Effective project management skills with experience managing and coordinating 4-8+ projects simultaneously
- Experience managing processes from end-to-end to ensure completion and reporting with an ability to seek clarity through ambiguity
This position's reasonably anticipated base salary range is $58,200-76,300 per year. The actual salary offered will take into account internal equity and may also vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
