Responsibilities

Working on the DDR&E(M) critical technology areas offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment at the forefront of advancing national defense capabilities in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Directed Energy, Hypersonics, and more. As part of a collaborative team of technical experts, you will directly support the development and maintenance of modernization technology roadmaps and strategic documents, ensuring alignment with DoD goals. Your role will involve close interaction with senior DoD leaders and stakeholders across the S&T community. You will have the opportunity to support independent technical assessments, provide expert analysis of emerging technologies, and contribute to decision-making processes impacting the Department's most critical modernization efforts. This project requires a high level of professionalism, technical expertise, and a commitment to shaping the future of national security capabilities.

    As a program analyst for Trusted and Assured Microelectronics, you will have the opportunity to do the following:

    • Support the office of the Principal Director (PD) for Trusted and Assured Microelectronics within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering
    • Collaborate with the PD and staff on devising an implementation plan for the T&AM strategy and roadmap by identifying and tracking specific milestones the DoD could deliver to demonstrate technology development is on track
    • Analyse Defense investments in Microelectronics to ensure they meet overall strategic objectives for the portfolio
    • Assist in outreach to the S&T community to enable T&AM technology development including other U.S. Government, industry, academia, and international partners
    • Assist with and prepare presentations, reports, and other business products as directed by the PD


Qualifications

  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility within the last 24 months.
  • U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance.
  • Master's Degree in a relevant STEM discipline and 10 years of applicable experience or a PhD in a relevant STEM discipline and 7 years of applicable experience.


Pay Transparency Statement

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $108,100.00/Yr. - USD $180,600.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
