Network Health's success is rooted in its mission to create healthy and strong Wisconsin communities. It drives the decisions we make, including the people we choose to join our growing team. Network Health is seeking an Actuarial Intern to support our Actuarial team.

The Actuarial Intern will support several open projects during Summer 2025. Some project examples include, creating an inventory and review of analytic reports across several of our teams and accessing client use and identifying improvement areas and looking at economic factors/metrics relative to health care utilization and better identifying correlations and potential leading indicators for future utilization.

This internship is full-time and will take place starting June through mid-August and primarily working out of our Brookfield, WI office.

Job Responsibilities:



  • Validation testing of new data sources to existing with reporting identifying variances in written communication
  • User testing of portal functionality and data to existing source system results
  • Correction of any data integrity issues
  • Development of reconciliation exhibits to show balance sheet figures are used consistently across various financial calculations
  • Assist in creation of new routine exhibits/schedules for new governance meetings related to reserves, gain share and other significant estimates
  • Demonstrate commitment and behavior aligned with the philosophy, mission, values and vision of Network Health
  • Appropriately apply all organizational, regulatory, and credentialing principles, procedures, requirements, regulations, and policies
  • Other duties as assigned


Internship Qualifications:



  • Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Statistics with a desire to pursue actuarial exams and accreditation.
  • At least one year of experience is required and could be gained from schooling or previous internship(s).
  • A functional knowledge of general finance or accounting principles
  • Proficiency in MS Excel/Word
  • Prior programming/coding experience preferred (SAS/SQL preferred)
  • Strong analytical aptitude
