Job Summary The Procurement Associate will assist with day-to-day communications with suppliers, helping implement cost-saving initiatives, and ensuring the timely and accurate collection and entry of procurement data. This position will also maintain organized records and files, support purchasing processes, and perform various administrative and operational duties. This position plays a key role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our supply chain and procurement functions. Essential Functions Be responsible for an assigned group of materials Update and maintain accurate material costs and freight costs in the price master system Record material cost and freight cost announcements and maintain price history data Support collection of data (supplier information, price, etc.) Create purchase orders for R&D projects as needed. Follow through until delivered to final destination. Work with related departments to register new supplier in SAP Collect and store USMCA and Manufacture of Affidavit certificates from suppliers Update and maintain country of origin information in SAP Provide support to other departments as necessary Support collecting pricing information for special sales quotations Monitor price changes on purchase orders vs price in master data Support cost saving activities Submit RFQ to suppliers for Sales, R&D, Engineering, Aftermarket, and Warranty requirements Assist with preparation of internal/external audits Be able to provide training and guidance to junior level procurement associates Other duties as assigned Essential Functions (Continued) Minimum Education and Experience Requirements High school diploma of equivalent 3 years of related experience Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask Preferred Education and Experience Requirements Supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment Experience with SAP Language Requirement None Travel Requirements UP to 10% The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
