Overview

The Solution Strategy Team is seeking a Sr Solutions Strategy Director to drive the strategic direction, market positioning, and go-to-market execution for Blue Yonder's Category Management solutions. This role will be responsible for product feature prioritization, competitive positioning, pipeline support, and sales enablement, ensuring that our solutions align with market needs and drive customer success. As a key leader within the Solution Strategy Team, you will work closely with Product Management, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success Teams to define and execute strategies that enhance our Category Management product offering, increase market adoption, and drive revenue growth.

What you'll do

Market Positioning

  • Develop go-to-market strategies for Category Management solutions, defining unique value propositions for different customer segments
  • Conduct competitive analysis and positioning against key market players to differentiate Blue Yonder in the Category Management space
  • Partner with analyst relations teams to ensure strong representation in industry reports (e.g., Gartner, Forrester)

Product Capability Prioritization

  • Work closely with Product Management to collaborate onthe Category Management roadmap, ensuring features align with customer needs and market demands
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback, market trends, and competitive intelligence to prioritize product enhancements
  • Collaborate with engineering and UX teams to define best-in-class functionality for space planning, assortment optimization, and category analytics

Sales Enablement & Pipeline Support

  • Develop and deliver sales training, playbooks, and competitive battle cards to enable the field sales teams
  • Work closely with the sales and pre-sales teams to support key customer deals, RFPs, and executive presentations
  • Act as a trusted advisor for strategic customer engagements, helping to articulate the value of Blue Yonder's Category Management capabilities

Customer & Partner Engagement

  • Engage directly with Customers and Partners to understand their category management challenges and opportunities
  • Support strategic customer advisory boards and executive briefings to align product direction with industry needs

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner with Marketing to create compelling messaging, thought leadership content, and demand generation campaigns
  • Work with Finance and Operations to support pricing and packaging strategies for Category Management solutions
What we are looking for

Must Have

  • 10+ years of experience in software solution strategy, product marketing, or Category Management solutions, preferably in Retail, CPG, or Enterprise SaaS
  • Deep understanding of Category Management principles, including Space Planning, Assortment Optimization, Planogramming, and Clustering
  • Strong ability to engage with executives, sales teams, and customers to drive strategic initiatives
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate technical capabilities into business value

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with Blue Yonder Category Management
  • Experience in B2B SaaS solutions, particularly in the retail tech, merchandising, or AI-driven category management space
  • Familiarity with AI and ML applications in Category Management and Demand Forecasting

The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors. In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
