Job Summary:

The Enrollments Specialist is responsible for performing the day-to-day transactional activities associated with staging, processing, validation, and loading all inbound and outbound utility EDI enrollment and drop transaction files and supporting continuous improvement projects for the Enrollments team. He / She is part of a team accountable for complete, accurate processing of 1,000,000 transactions/month, which drives the customer enrollments, billing, payment processing, and usage forecasting for 250,000 utility accounts and $6B in annual revenue.

The successful candidate is responsible for performing the ongoing monitoring of fit-for-purpose quality controls and exception management queues designed to ensure the integrity of all data exchanges between internal and external partners and systems. This position will also be responsible for casework associated with customer and utility change requests, ensuring that the proper transactions and system updates are made to facilitate the request while also adhering to both internal and utility-driven processes, frameworks, and regulations. The candidate should have a variety of competencies, including strong analytical and technical skills, knowledge of the Microsoft Suite of applications, and the ability to collaborate in a team environment.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Ensure transaction exceptions (i.e., rejections, invalid, etc.) are identified and resolved in a timely manner
  • Maintain functional knowledge of utility enrollment and drop guidelines and internal systems, and data flows to assist with root cause analysis, issue resolution,n and proactive change management
  • Adhere to Service Level Agreements (SLA's) for transaction processing and exception management activities
  • Manage all inbound and outbound electronic enrollment, drop, and change transactions that flow through the internal data management middleware platform
  • Run and review reports to assist with exception management, KPI management, and audit controls
  • Prepare recommendations for process improvements and participate in testing/implementation with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with other internal teams, such as Sales, Customer Experience, Billing, and Finance, to resolve issues or discrepancies as needed

  • Some overtime is required as special projects arise

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 - 3 years of energy industry experience preferred
  • Demonstrates expertise in utilizing Microsoft PowerPoint, Visio, Word, Excel, and SQL preferred
  • Knowledge of flat files and EDI standards is a plus
  • Knowledge of managing FTP sites is a plus
  • Understanding of IT Development Life Cycle is a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position, and there is frequent opportunity to move about.
