Kimball Midwest, a national distributor of maintenance, repair, and operation products, is searching for an Associate IT Architect for our Columbus, OH location.

Responsibilities

* Architectural Design: Assist in the architectural design and implementation of software solutions leveraging Azure Cloud and Power Platform, ensuring scalability, performance, and flexibility.

* Cloud Architecture: Support the development of cloud-based applications that integrate seamlessly with backend and third-party systems, gaining experience with Azure App Services, Event Grid, Service Bus, and more.

* Power Platform Solutions: Learn to design and implement low code/no code solutions for business process automation, data visualization, and application development using MS Power Platform. Aid in the creation of a Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE).

* D365 Implementation: Assist the Architecture team in reviewing designs for D365 Finance & Supply Chain Management (F&SCM) and Customer Engagement (CE) implementations.

* Data Modeling: Assist in designing data models that support business processes and ensure data integrity. Learn to optimize database design for SQL Server/Azure SQL Database environments.

* Cloud Strategy: Contribute to the development of a cloud strategy, including disaster recovery plans, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry best practices.

* Requirement Analysis: Work with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements for software solutions and translate them into technical specifications and architecture designs.

* Performance Optimization: Identify opportunities for scalability and efficiency improvements where performance bottlenecks are discovered.

* Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices to protect sensitive data and ensure the security of solutions, including encryption, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.

* Documentation: Create and maintain clear technical documentation including architecture diagrams, design documents, and architecture building blocks.

* Learning Opportunities: Opportunities to learn and seek certifications in cloud technologies and software architecture.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.

* Entry level experience in software engineering or development.

* Understanding of software development principles and design patterns.

* Understanding of SQL and relational databases.

* Strong learner mindset and desire to growth in areas related to Azure Cloud, MS Power Platform, and AI technologies.

* Familiarity with Agile-Scrum development methodology.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

* Experience with .NET Technologies and Service-Oriented Architecture is a plus.

* Experience with Azure DevOps and/or Git is a plus.
