JOB SUMMARY

The IT Generalist is a senior contributor to the IT department with primary duties including providing technical support for ILB/LCC users, new user set-up, process and program efficiencies, and junior IT staff support.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS



  • A working knowledge of information technology practices at a level normally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree in information technology, or related field or equivalent experience.




KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES



  • Excellent customer service attitude to end users and IT staff.



  • Knowledge of tier 1, tier 2, and junior IT staff support that typically comes from 4+ years of Help Desk, PC Technician and/or IT Support Specialist experience.



  • Attention to detail. Strong organizational and time management skills sufficient to prioritize tasks and maintain productivity.



  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, time management skills, and technical capacity skills.



  • Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.



  • Ability to identify and fulfill the needs of management, accounting, and field employees.



  • Ability to learn and support new systems and applications.



  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.




OTHER REQUIREMENTS


  • Experience with troubleshooting/supporting various operating systems -iOS/Android OS/W7,10,11/MacOS/Win Servers.
  • Experience with or certification in the following Microsoft applications: Office, Access, Visio, and Windows Server are required.
  • Experience in server services administration configuration and maintenance - not limited to database, hardware refreshes, server upgrades and deployments, network resources setup and maintenance.
  • Intermediate level networking experience is required.
  • Requires travel: Minimal (up to 10%) including in-state and out-of-state by car and/or plane with overnight stays.
  • Required to maintain a valid driver's license.
  • This position is onsite.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


  • 1-2 years Networking and System Administrator experience Degree in related field or equivalent applicable work experience preferred.



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES





  • Provide support to staff on all company-supported applications and devices.



  • Troubleshoot device problems, determine source, and advise on appropriate action.



  • Complete Information Technology project work.



  • IT documentation creation and revisions for SOPs, IT Handbook, and needed SMEs.



  • Create and manage the onboarding sheet, equipment, and software request sheets.



  • Install, configure, and maintain company devices and related hardware and software.



  • Maintain knowledge of computer and/or network security systems, applications, procedures, and techniques.



  • Identify and resolve computer system malfunctions and operations problems.



  • Identify and communicate opportunities for improvement.



  • Act as a liaison between Enterprise Technical Services and the end user.



  • Perform network troubleshooting.



  • Perform server maintenance and troubleshooting. Perform network maintenance and troubleshooting. Provision new devices for end users.



  • Perform responsibilities in accordance with all company standards, policies, and procedures.



  • Identification and remediation of end user technical issues or escalation as needed.



  • Providing direction to technical resources.



  • Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.




COMPENSATION & BENEFITS


  • Wage range: $30 - 38/hour.
