Benefits Summary: Paid Time Off: Eligible employees begin accruing PTO as of their date of hire and accrual rates are based on years of service. Base annual accrual starts at 120 hours/15 days for full time status. PTO is a combination of sick and vacation accruals. UMC follows the required WA State Sick Leave guidelines and employees are provided (1) for every 40 hours worked as part of the PTO package. UMC also offers (7) paid holidays, plus (1) Floating Holiday to be used within the calendar year. Position Description
Starting Salary Range: $34.00 - $36.00/hour - depending on experience Location: Greater Seattle Area Classification: Non-Exempt Must be eligible to work in the U.S. - Sponsorship not available General Position Summary: Provide project management support for Project Managers through effective communication, negotiation, scheduling, tracking, document control, and forecasting of costs and profitability. Support and collaborate with company superintendents, foreman, engineers, detailers, and management to deliver quality and profitable projects. Position Requirements
Essential Job Functions: 1. Assist in the bid process and the procurement of new work. 2. Estimate and negotiate change orders. 3. Track, forecast, report labor hours and material costs. 4. Buyout major equipment and subcontracts. 5. Expedite and track deliveries of major equipment/materials. 6. Maintain working knowledge of general conditions, work scope and specifications of project contract/subcontract. 7. Maintain and control documents in compliance with UMC Standards as well as contractual compliance. 8. Collaborate with field labor supervision to plan, organize and schedule project work including preparation of subcontract/contract integrated project schedule. 9. Review contract drawings, detail drawings and specifications. 10. Prepare fabrication shop work package including detail drawing review, material take off and buyout, and man-hour fabrication budget. 11. Ensure full compliance with UMC Safety Program at the jobsite. 12. Regular attendance and promptness are considered part of each employee's essential job functions. Secondary Job Functions: 1. Maintain client relations. 2. Develop and retain mechanical systems knowledge including engineering, estimating, construction practices, and financial management. Skills Required to Perform the Essential Duties of the Job: * Ability to accurately estimate mechanical work. * Ability to lead and foster positive working environment. * Ability to understand and communicate basic mechanical concepts. * Advanced organizational and time management skills. * Attention to detail - errors & mistakes can result in significant financial losses. * Strong written and oral communication skills. * Strong work ethic - results driven. * Ability to multi-task job responsibilities. * Advanced computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Project, Access, and AutoCAD.
