Summary:
The Denial Specialist is responsible in the timely and appropriate validation and follow up of denied claims. They thoroughly investigate denied claims and address them by assigning the appropriate resources with the denial management process.
Responsibilities:
- Main responsibility is to maximize electronic payment receipt and posting through EFT/ERA enrollment.
- Minimize insurance paper check and credit card payments through completion of EFT enrollments for insurance payers.
- Maximize payment posting automation through the completion of ERA enrollment for insurance payers.
- Redirect paper mail going to the incorrect remit addresses.
- Ensure insurance payers have the correct remittance address on file to send payments.
- Allow old bank accounts to be deactivated through the updating of bank account information with insurance companies.
- Verify all ERAs are being sent to the correct AR clearinghouse and update the clearinghouse information for any that are being sent to the wrong place.
- Send requested W-9 forms to insurance companies.

Professional Experience Requirements:
* Three (3) years of experience in a clerical, accounting or customer service setting or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
