Job Description

Danfoss is looking for a full time (40 hours per week) Sr. Electrical Engineer I for their Loves Park, IL location. This role will participate in the design, documentation, prototype, and test of new products in drives and power conversion. Therate of pay is $113,000-$118,000.Location-4401 N. Job Responsibilities

  • Design, specification, analysis and recommendation for development of new products
  • Create test plans and procedures and for performing the tests related to product development


maintain records pertinent to each project in the form of time, sketches, drawings, material specifications, and design journals



  • Render technical advice and assistance to other product development personnel as to designs, material specifications, information sources and testing procedures
  • Oversee the operations involved in the building and testing of prototype products
  • Prepare detailed plans to track project performance and assure timely completion and achievement of quality and savings goals for individual projects
  • Collaborate with plant Safety, Environmental, Quality, and manufacturing personnel
  • Lead a team of power electronics engineers

Background & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Electronics.
  • 5 years experience in areas related to variable frequency drive product design and power conversion equipment.
  • 2 years design and test experience with any 2 of the following: IGBT/Power semiconductors, Power topologies, SMPS design, Analog Design/control electronics, or Magnetics/filters.
  • 1 year research and test experience in a High Power Lab involving equipment greater than 400 volts and 500 amps.
