Description and Requirements We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Tools development engineer for targeted server types. The Tool Development Engineer will:
Position Requirements: * Defines and owns server diagnostics requirements, develops debug procedures, and collaborate with development to establish clear action plans. * Experience with live bootable images like; BoMC, WinPE, Linux Live systems, or custom scripting solutions. * Proficient with server-class BMCs and protocols like Redfish and IPMI. * Solid understanding of BIOS/UEFI, firmware, and OS installation processes. * Collaborate with hardware and firmware teams to gather required components (BIOS, drivers, firmware updates) for inclusion in bootable packages. * Expert in modern data center OSes, ARM architecture, and software development practices. * Ensure regulatory and security compliance as required. Basic Qualifications: * 5+ years in software and firmware design across computer environments. * Strong communication and documentation skills. * Background in computer architecture, graphics algorithms, and parallel processing. * Deep knowledge of server components, operating systems, and network protocols. * Strong hands-on experience with Linux kernel module and NVidia/AMD driver installation/compilation. * Familiar with virtualization technologies such as SR-IOV and MIG. * Proficient in C, C++, Perl, Python, JavaScript, and GPU (CUDA), ROCm, OpenCL, Vulkan. Preferred Qualifications: * Skilled in workload containerization and building containerized applications. * Experience with hardware performance tuning and application optimization.
