Introduction We are seeking a proactive and experienced DevOps Engineer to support mission-critical systems in a secure federal environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure and deployment processes, and implementing robust integrations between systems. This role demands a strong technical foundation, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to collaborate across teams to improve system reliability, scalability, and performance. This is a proposal-based position; employment is contingent upon contract award and funding availability. What You'll Be Doing Treat infrastructure as a product and provide ideas on continually improving automation services and the resiliency of the platform. Gather technical requirements and execute deliverables. Scale infrastructure and applications in an automated way. Monitor and instrument everything, particularly data applications and databases Provide tooling for all of the engineers. Follow and execute Production, QA, Dev, and other environmental change control processes. Document DevOps processes, procedures, and environments to ensure continuity. Location and Travel Details This is an onsite position out of the Washington D.C. Area with occasional travel once (if needed). Security Clearance and Citizenship Requirements Must have an Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret Clearance. Required For This Opportunity Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field Minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps, system administration, or software engineering Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) and version control systems (e.g., Git) Proficiency with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python) and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) Experience with .Net application pipelines, version control and release management Familiarity with containerization and orchestration platforms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) Solid understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and networking fundamentals Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills Excellent communication and documentation skills Nice to Have Skills Experience working in a federal or secure environment with strict compliance requirements Familiarity with log aggregation, system monitoring, and alerting tools (e.g., ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana) Knowledge of secure DevOps practices and continuous security integration Experience integrating systems using APIs or middleware technologies Experience working in a federal or secure environment with strict compliance requirements Familiarity with log aggregation, system monitoring, and alerting tools (e.g., ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana) Knowledge of secure DevOps practices and continuous security integration Experience integrating systems using APIs or middleware technologies Join a high-impact team where innovation meets national service.
